Trump voters: This is what you wanted?

Gotta give Donald Trump credit — he was brutally honest about his shock and awe, death blow, flood-the-zone dictating from Day One agenda if elected president again.

With his flurry of executive orders right out of the gate, he threw slabs of raw rotting meat to the meanest, nastiest, ugliest, dumbest propaganda-swallowing and -incited impulses of his snarling base that gobbles it up like starving feral dogs. Not to insult starving feral dogs.

If you’re astounded by Trump’s relentless destruction of America, remember: It’s all for MAGA hoots and hollers as they declare they love America the most. But their ugly dreams are becoming very real and hurting their fellow Americans.

I hate to harsh on the poor MAGA dears who blame innocent people — everyone but themselves — for their woes. Even as they delightfully roll in steaming mounds of rage crap excreted by their truthful media that gets rich from feeding their poor addicts.

But MAGAs have the power now. In America, we hold power accountable.

If MAGAs want a race to the bottom of indecency and disrespect, then let’s fire the starting pistol. The libs have been too polite too long.

And no playing victim, MAGAs, when you receive your rewards for bullying. Your comeuppance will come up when Trump slashes your government benefits and protections to further enrich his wealthy Republican class and billionaire buddies who used you for power. And laugh all the way on private jets to their lavish estates.

Funny how the Trump rallies and Trump inauguration events had completely different crowds. Guess which had more Christian Dior and Christian Louboutin than real American Christians who hate everyone their Jesus loved?

Is Trump ushering in a new Golden Age for America? Or a new Gilded Age when the rich get richer than murderous Saudi oil sheiks and screw people who are actually hurt by the cost of housing, eggs and gas?

What about decent Americans who voted for Trump?

Like the nice, college-educated, privileged, well-informed, financially comfortable, level-headed, reasonable, critically thinking, big-hearted, God-fearing churchgoers who are doing pretty, pretty well leveraging this terrible liberal post-industrial, information-age globalist economy?

What about smart Americans re-bleating Fox GOP Trump talking points about how Biden flushed our economy down the toilet? While they live in lovely homes in gated communities, drive $80,000 Ford F-150 pickups or $100,000 German luxury SUVs, peruse the wine list at $200/per prix fixe restaurants, and relax on five-star resort vacations? And built more wealth thanks to the Biden recovery-driven stock market that hit record highs?

What were these privileged Trump voters thinking? Did they want, did they really really want, what Trump is already wreaking on their fellow Americans, with much worse to come?

Everyone was warned.

So it’s not unfair to assume Trump voters either love or don’t mind the hate, chaos, seeds of destruction and authoritarian dictates worthy of a communist dictator that Trump promised and delivered from Day One.

But mindful of what is said about assuming, let’s ask decent, respectable Trump voters — politely to avoid triggering their defense mechanisms and perhaps deep-seated shame — if this is what they voted for:

More crime, less law and order

Like when a lifelong business sleazebag and sexual predator who screwed everyone in his path, and became a notoriously corrupt politician and convicted felon, escaped even more convictions by becoming President of the United States and chief law enforcement officer again.

And he pardons not just his convicted political crony felons, but also violent thugs who brutalized police and chased down lawmakers. And rather than sorry they crow vindication and promise to stand back and stand by for more political violence for their commander in chief.

Yes, we know, when Trump voters talk about crime, they don’t mean treasonous Constitutional high crimes and misdemeanors against the state, a life of rank corruption, or sexual assault. They mean crimes by poor nonwhites, especially if they’re urban or immigrants, as seen on a steady feed of Fox News.

More fear and misery

Like when Trump promises to carry out police state tactics such as using the military and bigoted snitches to round up, cage and send innocent families and children back to danger and death because they lack the right government papers.

Even if America desperately needs immigrants, whatever their papers, to do crappy jobs we can’t or won’t do. And hating them instead of hearts going out is quite the opposite of what it means to be Christian in a so-called Christian Nation. And most lives who cheer the Trump immigration crackdown are wholly unaffected by the immigration “crisis.”

Less diversity

While Trump canceled equal rights if you’re not white, most intelligent, not-bigoted Americans know our nation, government, institutions, companies and economy run better than China or competitor nations thanks to our exceptional diversity powered by centuries of immigrants of all ethnicities coming here to thrive. (And those who came here in desperation or involuntarily as enslaved.)

Daresay that few white Americans can claim to be personally hurt by DEI policies, or prove that they were. But maybe it’s just the thought of the Constitution guaranteeing equality and protecting against discrimination that irks.

Also, last I looked, Black Americans still suffer from centuries of legal discrimination. So do other people who don’t look like Trump.

Worse government

Trump is firing low-paid, hard-working, dumped-on federal bureaucrats for struggling to deliver taxpayer return on investment. Even if the bitchiest MAGAs already receive far more than they pay, like with Medicare.

So when Trump shrinks the federal workforce to appease his government-hating voters and it makes the government worse, they can blame the government. This is the old Republican gambit that still works for stupid people.

And since 75–80% of the federal workforce lives not in Washington but across America … and most serve veterans, national defense or homeland security … and every federal program, regulation and job is created by someone else’s congressman … and their congressman boasts about bringing home the federal bacon … what kind of spiteful, dumbass MAGA would get a thrill from seeing these workers fired?

Yes, we know: Trump is dancin’ with the ones who brung ‘im.

And maybe it’s reality TV roar of the greasepaint for the smell of the cheap seat crowd.

But at what point will smart, decent Trump voters say enough’s enough, show’s over, this is not America? Or is “smart, decent Trump voters” an oxymoron, emphasis on the last two syllables?
